In response to Dener Post Editorial "Golden's ticket is working together"
Some in Arvada are opposed to the tollway, too
The Post opined that mainly Golden is opposed to a tollway through Arvada. In fact, there are many citizens in Arvada who are opposed to it, and we recently tried to petition the formation of the highway authority onto the ballot. The city of Arvada, however, tyrannically denied the right of petition. We are opposed to the tollway because it will inevitably lead to the deterioration of our local roads due to non-compete clauses. We are opposed to the tollway because we do not want to see public funds used to build a road to finance a private company.
It is not just Golden that is opposed to the tollway.
