Norton, CDOT have a lot of nerve on toll roads

I'd like to thank Rep. Gwyn Green for working hard to protect Colorado taxpayers from being run over by the Colorado Department of Transportation and its chief, Tom Norton! ("CDOT's plan for toll roads hits resistance/Legislator opposes deals that would hamper free highways," Jan. 18.)

Norton has a lot of nerve telling Colorado taxpayers that the roads they have already paid for should go without improvements so he can force them onto toll roads they don't even want! Norton is well aware that Colorado drivers are not interested in paying tolls in addition to their taxes - that's why the Northwest Parkway's bonds now have a "junk" rating!

So, Mr. Norton, don't think for a second that you will get away with building another empty stretch of pavement through Golden. You work for the taxpayers and Green's bill will make certain that you do just that!
