Make parkway-TV tower deal with Golden
For years the city of Golden has fought the construction of a high- definition television tower on Lookout Mountain, citing concern for citizens.
This fight is based on numerous false claims and misinformation regarding the impact this tower will have on nearby neighborhoods. The City of Denver is now the only large metro area in the U.S. without widely available, free, over-the-air high- definition television.
Thank you, citizens of Golden.
Perhaps it's time to encourage the completion of E-470's Northwest Parkway using the best route available - connecting to Colorado 93 through the heart of Golden.
Golden has asked the rest of the metro area to support their fight to move this alignment to the east to the detriment of the citizens of Arvada to ensure Golden's purity.
If metro-area citizens push to align this highway through the town of Golden, maybe Golden's citizens will realize how unobtrusive this high-definition television tower would be and realize the value of supporting something for the common good of the metro area - a high-definition television tower.
Golden wants metro-area residents to support its fight for the Northwest Parkway alignment. The rest of the metro area wants Golden's support for the erection of a high-definition television tower. See how easy this works?
