Opening Statement
  Dave Auburn (1.05MB)
  Kathy Hartman (996KB)

Rob Medina - It's highly likely that CDOT will propose a toll road as part of the beltway. Is it responsible and sound fiscal judgment on your parts to support another toll road in Jeffco in light of the financial shortcoming of the Northwest Parkway toll road? (289KB)
  Dave Auburn (328KB)
  Kathy Hartman (130KB)

Gary Frey - Last year the voters approved expansion of light rail in the Metropolitan Area. The Regional Transportation District (RTD) has established a schedule for the development of these corridor. Are you satisfied with the current schedule for development in Jefferson County and what can do you believe you could do to expedite that schedule and bring service sooner to the western communities? (233KB)
  Dave Auburn (244KB)
  Kathy Hartman (153KB)

Dick Bartlett - What impact on high-tech businesses moving into the Jefferson County area do you feel or do you foresee, if a supertower is built on Lookout Mountain? (235KB)
  Kathy Hartman (535KB)
  Dave Auburn (482KB)

Rob Medina - Mr. Auburn, you made a promise as commissioner that you would listen to citizen's concerns. Regarding the beltway the Modified Combined Alternative plan was published by CDOT last June. It is highly likely that this document that this the precursor for the Draft EIS. Considering the significance and the availability of this document to you, and you promise to listen to citizens, why have you declined and avoided meeting with CINQ a citizens group that opposes the beltway?(313KB)
  Dave Auburn (593KB)
  Kathy Hartmanl (474KB)

Gary Frey - Recent studies seem to indicate that the current fuel tax will not be sufficient to meet Colorado's financial needs and while this may be a state issue it also has affects on county or local residences. What are the most viable alternatives for funding the public transportation infrastructure and please be specific. (219KB)
  Kathy Hartman (337KB)
  Dave Auburn (547KB)

Dick Bartlett - Dr. Johnson, Director of Jeffco Health Department, has recommended that a level as low as reasonable achievable be the standard as applied to broadcast tower proposals. How you plan to implement Dr. Johnson's recommendation? (162KB)
  Kathy Hartman (384KB)
  Dave Auburn (432KB)

Rob Medina - In light of the City of Arvada's large proposed developments westward including the development of Beaumont and Cimmeron, do you thin Arvada may not be properly planning their land use and may be contributing to sprawl? (143KB)
  Kathy Hartman (412KB)
  Dave Auburn (320KB)

Gary Frey - Many states and communities are taking positive actions to deter global warming to the extent they can, most notably the City of Portland Oregon recently implemented a program. I know of no similar efforts in Jefferson County. What is your position on global warming and what steps would you take to assure that the citizens of Jeffco minimize their emissions of greenhouse gases? (219KB)
  Dave Auburn (337KB)
  Kathy Hartman (547KB)

Dick Bartlett - There are bout 170 special districts in Jefferson County. These special districts act pretty much autonomously and some if not a lot, seem to be out of touch with their communities.   Dave Auburn (512KB)
  Kathy Hartman (352KB)

Rob Medina - Some people believe there is no economic justification or demonstrated need to complete the beltway. Do you support completion of the beltway? Why or why not? (319KB)
  Dave Auburn (423KB)
  Kathy Hartman (400KB)

Audience Question - Jefferson County does not have a single person on the Planning Commission from the mountains where much of the development is occurring. Would either of you support the creation of a Mountain Planning Commission to better represent you mountain constituents and provide the County Commission with more informed advice? (121KB)
