CINQ is waging a campaign to promote better traffic solutions in the Northwest Quadrant. Our campaign involves community outreach to citizens groups, meeting with government officials and other public relations initiatives. To support these efforts:

• Write a letter or make a phone call
• Make a personal donation to CINQ
• Get involved in the political process
• Volunteer your time
• Sponsor a CINQ presentation in your neighborhood
• Encourage your homeowners association to make a donation to CINQ
• Stay informed by receiving emails updates from CINQ

Letters & Phone Calls WRITE EMAIL TO OFFICIALS - Use the sample letter below or write your own. Note: For the two links below to work, you may need to temporarily disable any pop-up blocking software you have installed on your computer. You can also try holding down your CTRL key while clicking the links. IF YOU LIVE IN JEFFERSON COUNTY, write or call the Jefferson County Commissioners. IF YOU LIVE OUTSIDE JEFFERSON COUNTY, write or call members of the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) , the government entity involved with metro wide transportation policy and planning. If you wish, you may cut and paste this letter: Dear [Elected Representative], As a tax payer, I do not support the proposed Jefferson Parkway toll road. This road is intended to promote sprawl, and offers little transportation benefit. The best and least costly option is to improve existing roads, including the well-traveled yet dangerous SH93.  For years, tax payers have been subsidizing an ill-conceived road beltway connection, most recently an expenditure of over one million dollars by Arvada, Broomfield and Jefferson County to establish a tolling authority.  Toll roads can have many negative consequences, including non-compete agreements that create congestion on public roads. Improved mobility should be the primary goal of elected officials. Moreover, many questions remain about development on and near Rocky Flats. Elected officials should push for better testing to fully access the risk before any development takes place. Please put the needs of Colorado citizens ahead of special interests, and do no support this proposed toll road. Sincerely, [Your name and address]

Other Ways to Get Involved

Raise awareness about the superhighway issue at political meetings

• Attend meetings for political candidates and events.
• Ask the candidates how they stand on issue of the superhighway.
• Express your opinion on the issue.

Sponsor a CINQ presentation.

• Invite representaives from CINQ to come to your neighborhood, do a short presentation and answer your questions.
• Create an excellent opportunity for you and your neighbors to ask questions and voice your concerns.
• Strategize with CINQ about how you can be most effective in creating real traffic solutions.
• Contact CINQ to find out more about how to plan your neighborhood meeting.

Organize your neighbors.

• Attend your city council and HOA meetings. Talk with your neighbors. Voice your opinion!
• Protect your property value by asking your neighbors and HOA to make a donation to CINQ.
• Add your HOA's name to the list of organizations that endorse CINQ. The broader public support we demonstrate, the more likely we are to succeed. Send your neighborhood or HOA name to CINQ.
